St. Anthony’s Hospital Opens New Jackson Street Garage

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., (July 25, 2013) – The new 816-space Jackson Street Garage on the St. Anthony's Hospital campus is now open. Drivers can enter and exit the Jackson Street Garage off Jackson Street N. The garage primarily serves patients and visitors at the Suncoast Medical Clinic, the Medical Arts Building and the main hospital including the Emergency Center.

Construction on the garage began in August 2012 to provide more parking for patients, visitors and team members to support the new Suncoast Medical Clinic, which opened on the St. Anthony’s campus in January. In addition to the many Suncoast physicians, the clinic also houses BayCare Laboratories and BayCare Imaging.

“With the opening of our new garage, we continue our commitment to ensure providing our patients and visitors with the best experience on our campus,” said St. Anthony’s President William Ulbricht. “The design fits in so well with the other buildings that it feels like the garage has always been here.”

Like all parking on the St. Anthony’s campus, parking is free in the new Jackson Street Garage and in the Seventh (7th) Avenue Garage. In the new garage, there is an air-conditioned elevated connector from the second level to Suncoast and a covered ground-level walkway from the garage to the main hospital. There are 24 handicap-accessible parking spaces throughout plus three van-accessible spaces on the first floor. Three elevators provide accessibility from any level. Visitors may park on Levels 2 and 3.

As always, patients and visitors can still take advantage of free valet parking at the hospital. Valet is available at Suncoast Medical Clinic, the Emergency Center, the Professional Office Building, the Medical Arts Building and inside the Seventh (7th) Avenue Garage on the St. Anthony’s Hospital campus.
