St. Anthony's offers its team members an extensive, flexible benefits package that can be tailored to individual needs.
Team members scheduled to work a minimum of 40 hours each pay period can participate in the BayCare Health System Medical Plan. BayCare subsidizes 75 percent of the BayCare Medical Plan costs and team member premiums are payroll deducted with tax-free dollars. BayCare gives team members and their dependents the flexibility of three medical plan options, allowing them to choose the one that best fits their lifestyle. BayCare pays team members who elect not to participate in the plan because the team member is already covered by another medical plan.
Choice Benefits offers team members and their dependents three preventive dental care plans. Choose from the ConcordiaFLEX Basic, ConcordiaFLEX Plus or the Fortis Managed Care Dental Plan. Team member premiums are payroll deducted with tax-free dollars.
Team members can focus in on their savings by participating in the ChoiceBenefits vision plan. The VisionCare Plan provides coverage for eye exams, eyeglasses and contacts at a minimum cost to team members.
Prescription Drug Program
As a participant in one of the ChoiceBenefits medical options, team members can take advantage of a prescription drug program that pays a major share of the expense. As an added benefit, team members also can use the mail-order program to order a 90-day supply of maintenance-type medications at a reduced cost.
BayCare provides basic life insurance equal to one times your base salary (excluding bonuses, overtime pay, differentials, etc.) to every team member at no cost. Benefit-eligible team members also have the option of buying additional coverage (up to a maximum of $1 million when combined with basic life) through pre-tax payroll deductions at competitive rates.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance
Benefit-eligible team members have the opportunity to purchase accidental death and dismemberment coverage at a group discount, which provides an additional layer of coverage if your death results from accidental causes or if you become dismembered.
Long-Term Care Insurance
Team members have the opportunity to purchase Aetna long-term care insurance for themselves and extended family members.
Flexible Spending Accounts
As part of the ChoiceBenefits plan, BayCare offers two flexible spending account options that allow team members to pay for eligible health care and/or dependent care expenses with tax-free dollars.
Short- and Long-Term Disability
ChoiceBenefits offers eligible team members short- and long-term disability coverage to safeguard their income. Team members may elect to receive basic short- (50% of bi-weekly earnings) and long-term (40% of monthly earnings) disability coverage at no cost to eligible team members. And for a reasonable premium, team members have the option to purchase supplemental coverage.
Paid Time Off Program
BayCare team members have the flexibility and freedom to use their paid time off for any purpose, whether it's for vacation or sick days. Team members accrue hours of PTO during each pay period. Team members also have the option to cash in their PTO, up to 100 hours.
Professional Development Opportunities
To further enhance the "learning, growing and developing" of every team member, BayCare will reimburse 90 percent of tuition, books and certification (initial and renewal) costs for approved courses, up to $2,250 each calendar year.
BayCare encourages the ongoing training and development of all team members. Team members can take advantage of a variety of personal and professional growth opportunities, including a curriculum for management and leadership development offered through the Quality Leadership University, training in the use of software applications and continuing education courses for licensed health care professionals.
College Bound Fund
BayCare team members may have a portion of their post-tax income direct deposited into the College Bound Fund, a college savings account sponsored by the State of Rhode Island. This fund essentially invests in certain securities with the view towards growth and savings for college expenses.
Team Member Assistance
Because planning for retirement is a key component of team members' future security, BayCare provides a competitive retirement benefit for eligible team members including an annual core employer contribution and a 401 (k) with employer matching contribution. Team members are eligible to participate in the 401 (k) on their date of hire. Core contribution will be made after one year of service.
Employee Assistance Program
Team members and their dependents have access to 24-hour confidential assistance for emotional, financial, legal and other personal problems through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). EAP provides brief counseling (up to six visits per family per year and a referral for additional counseling through the ChoiceBenefits medical plan, if necessary) at no cost to the team member (all services are paid by BayCare).
BayCare provides adoption assistance (up to $1,500 per calendar year per family for qualified expenses) to team members who incur expenses to legally adopt a child under the age of 18 who is not the team member or team member spouse's natural or previously adopted child.
Employer-Assisted Housing Program
St. Anthony's team members with six months tenure may be eligible for Employer Assisted Housing, which offers a $4,000 forgiveable loan to team members who are purchasing a home for the first time. Team members must attend a home buyer course and promise to remain employed with the health system for four years.

Wellness Center Discounted Memberships
Team members and their families will receive a discounted membership to the Carillon Wellness Center, located at the St. Anthony's Outpatient Center (Carillon) off of Ulmerton Road. The center is open Monday through Friday 4:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. and from 6am to 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Services include: free fitness assessment, exercise classes, locker room, shower facilities, massage, and a nutritional assessment. Child care is available.
Local Attraction Discounts
Team members can receive discounted tickets to theme parks and other events, including Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, Sea World, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Muvico Theaters and Parkside Theaters. Any full- or part-time team member who has completed six months or more of employment is eligible to purchase tickets by check, payroll deduction or money order. The limit is $200 for payroll deduction. Full- or part-time team members with less than 6 months of employment and pool or PRN team members are NOT eligible for payroll deduction, but may purchase tickets by check or money order.
