St. Anthony's Hospital has a tradition of caring for all the people of Florida's Suncoast. This includes not only the care given within the walls of the hospital, but also in the community itself. We are proud to be involved in several outreach programs, including the Faith Community Nursing program and the Pinellas Care Clinic. Because we believe that providing high-quality, compassionate health care to our community should have no limits.
Pinellas Care Clinic
Since 1997, the Pinellas Care Clinic at 3554 First Ave. N. in the Christopher Center building, has been providing outpatient medical care to adults living with HIV. Patients receive care in an environment that maintains their optimal physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
The clinic also serves the community as a scientific resource through education and research. The program is complemented by other HIV services available through the BayCare Health System, including inpatient care, home health services and the Comprehensive Research Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa.
Funding is provided in part by the Ryan White CARE Act and the State of Florida Department of Health.
All patient care is managed by an advanced nurse practitioner specializing in HIV. A physician medical director is available at all times. Should the need arise, the medical director can admit patients to St. Anthony's Hospital.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Appointments are necessary. Walk-in patients are seen on an emergency basis only.
