Personal Training

"Personal Training" is a term a lot of conventional health clubs toss around. But unless they offer the range of exercises with the level of supervision you can get here, well, we don't think they're very personal at all.  No one else has your body, so no one else should have your body's fitness regimen. We ensure that you get an individualized plan catered to your needs. Review our Personal Training Questionnaire to learn more about how we determine what type of personal fitness regimen is right for you.

One-on-One Personal Training - Allows you to receive individualized attention to accomplish your wellness goals, including weight loss, post-rehabilitation training, cardiovascular fitness, general conditioning, resistance training, sport-specific training and conditioning.

Partner Training - Pair up with a friend, spouse or significant other to keep you motivated.  A personal trainer will take you through a workout that meets both of your needs.

Group Training – With a class size of 3-8 individuals, you will be provided expertise and supervision by your certified Personal Trainer while also experiencing the energy and motivation that comes with working out with a group.  Small Group Training also provides a more affordable way to train.

Pilates Reformer - Pilates is a form of strength training that focuses on developing core stability, increasing flexibility and enhancing muscle tone.

Yoga Therapy Training - Yoga personal training/therapy can help improve one's strength, flexibility, mind/body awareness, well-being, meditation skills and emotional stability.  Yoga helps promote positive health through deep relaxation, breathing exercises and postural exercises. These practices can be used in a therapeutic way to improve the quality of life for individuals with chronic conditions such as back pain, arthritis, hypertension, heart conditions, diabetes, asthma, cancer, multiple sclerosis, chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.

Postural Assessment - Want a better workout? A Postural and Movement screening will help. A postural assessment will enable a personal trainer to observe muscle imbalances that may be negatively affecting your workout and/or causing pain or discomfort. Inflexibility, postural distortions and incorrect movement patterns can cause your muscles to not function properly. Our skilled trainer can tailor a program to improve your body's muscle imbalances.

Accelerated Fat Loss Program – Personal Training and Nutrition Package - Learn more about our Accelerated Fat Loss Program

“I was in an exercise rut and needed a boost.  The Accelerated Fat Loss Program is the best gift I could have given myself.  In 12 weeks I lost 9.4 pounds of fat weight and gained 5.2 pounds of lean weight.  I’m still amazed every day at how much my body has changed through this program.”
AFL Participant Tammy

There needs to be a shift in thinking to focus on Fat Loss rather than Weight Loss!  A successful program focuses on the post-workout period adaptations and metabolic impact, as well as the cumulative impact of the Dietary, Training and Wellness practices on the individual’s ability to utilize fat more efficiently through an increase in resting metabolism. In order to create an environment which allows for the greatest amount of fat loss in the shortest period of time, the Accelerated Fat Loss Program incorporates these components:

  • Correct nutrition & adequate hydration (specific recommendations)
  • A training philosophy that maximizes the results of your resistance training by creating maximum metabolic disturbance.  Participants will learn how to perform activities that burn calories, maintain/promote muscle mass and increase metabolism.

Goals of the program:

  • Lose fat
  • Easy plan to follow with clearly defined strategies

Offered in 4-week, 8-week or 12-week increments, our team of professionals will guide you and work with you to help you accomplish your goals.  Program commitment includes: pre and post assessment, posture and movement screening, consultations with Registered Dietitian, personal training sessions (2 per week)…and your desire to LOSE FAT!
