St. Anthony’s Helps Athletes Get Their Heads In The Game
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (March 1, 2011) – Mind over matter was never so true when it comes to preparing for athletics. A St. Anthony’s sports medicine expert will offer tips on how athletes can prepare their thoughts and behaviors for peak athletic performance during “The Time Is Now, The Place Is Here,” a free sports medicine lecture on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at 5:30 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Outpatient Center (Carillon), meeting rooms A and B.
Vince Lodato, MSW, LCSW will discuss how athletes, coaches and parents all talk about preparation of the body for athletic performance. But the mental preparation can get lost. By getting their heads in the game, athletes can prepare both their bodies and thoughts for the workout or competition ahead.
Lodato will help participants develop skills that enhance athletic performance, improve competitiveness and increase satisfaction and enjoyment on any athletic field.
Every month, the St. Anthony’s sports medicine experts offer tips on how to improve sports performance. To register, call (727) 953-9129 or visit StAnthonys.com. The outpatient center is located at 900 Carillon Parkway, off of Ulmerton Road, near Feather Sound in St. Petersburg.
