St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation Medallion Gala To Raise Funds for New Emergency Center
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., (March 14, 2011) – The St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation annual Medallion Gala will be a celebration of the hospital’s 80-year history and a nod to its future with the construction of its new Emergency Center. Tickets are available now for the gala, which will be Saturday, April 16, 2011, in the Palm Court Ballroom of the Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club, 501 Fifth Ave. NE, St. Petersburg.
The annual black-tie optional gala will begin at 6 p.m. and feature cocktails, dinner, a silent auction and dancing with live music from The Paradise Band. There will be a live auction featuring one item – a Faberge diamond and sapphire pendant from Bruce Watters Jewelers. Silent auction items include a two-night stay at the Don Cesar Resort; a Great Escape to a newly renovated beachfront villa on Madeira Beach; and a Weekend in the Country at the Gilchrist Club in Trenton, Fla., and much more.
Tickets are $225 per person. Event and table sponsorships also are available.
All proceeds benefit the St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation which is conducting a capital campaign to fund the completion of the hospital’s new Emergency Center and Patient Care Tower. The $50-million facility features expedited triage and admission protocol to treat patients quickly and efficiently; 32 private examination rooms; and a centralized design with emphasis on patient privacy. The new 100,000-square-foot facility is scheduled to open in early 2012.
“Providing funding for the new Emergency Center will help the hospital continue its mission of health care excellence in St. Petersburg,” said Charles Osterholt III, St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation chairman. “Looking to 2012 and beyond, the new facility will be able to meet so many needs for our community.”
