Job Fair for New Patient Care Tower, Emergency Center Set at St. Anthony's|
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., (May 23, 2012) – St. Anthony’s Hospital will host a community job fair to recruit experienced registered nurses to work in the new patient care tower and the Emergency Center. Applicants will be accepted from noon to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5 in the hospital’s main lobby. The positions to be filled include critical care/telemetry, cardiac cath lab and EC nurses, experienced monitor techs, PCTs and unit secretaries.
The emergency center and patient care tower is a $61 million project that opened earlier this year. The project includes a new four-story building that is approximately 100,000 square feet. The new facility will enhance the care and comfort of St. Anthony’s patients and their families.
Among the amenities found in St. Anthony’s new Patient Care Tower are:
- All private rooms
- A pull-out sleeper sofa for family to remain with the patient
- Two televisions in each patient room (one for a family member and one for a patient)
- Warm woods and soft tones to reflect a tranquil environment
- Individual temperature controls in each room
The Emergency Center also features the latest available technology to diagnose and treat emergency patients. There is an advanced CT scanner, as well as dedicated imaging and lab facilities to help expedite diagnoses; two critical care cardiac exam rooms and an industry-leading electronic medical record system.
