Suncoast Medical Clinic Welcomes Community To Open House For New Complex

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., (Dec. 13, 2012)-- The public is invited to see the new home of the Suncoast Medical Clinic on the St. Anthony’s campus during a free community open house, Sunday, January 13, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“We are so proud to have the Suncoast Medical Clinic join our campus to offer a more coordinated healthcare approach to our patients,” said St. Anthony’s President Bill Ulbricht. “Our partnership will help us to continue our commitment to improve the health of the community we serve.”

During the free community open house, visitors to Suncoast’s new 106,000-sq.-ft. building can:

  • Find their current physician’s new office
  • Receive information on other Suncoast services
  • Visit BayCare Laboratories
  • See the new location for BayCare Outpatient Imaging
  • See the Clinic’s new Urgent Care Facility
  • Obtain a variety of health screenings
  • Enjoy food and children’s activities

St. Anthony’s and Suncoast have worked informally together for many years. “Our closer affiliation will help us continue to provide our patients with seamless healthcare, from outpatient needs to inpatient care,” said Mark Gordon, MD, president of the Suncoast Medical Clinic and a practicing urologist. “Our patients, who have sought a more aligned approach in their care, will see benefits in the increased efficiency and improved quality.”

Suncoast is South Pinellas County’s largest physician medical group and has served the St. Petersburg community for nearly six decades.

Most of the physicians of Suncoast are already on the medical staff of St. Anthony’s Hospital, so this transition will be unnoticeable to patients and team members. Most physicians also are expected to stay on the staffs of multiple hospitals in the St. Petersburg area.
