St. Anthony's Outpatient Center Hosts Three Health Seminars

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., (January 7, 2013)-- St. Anthony’s Outpatient Center invites the community to join health experts at several health seminars that will focus on how stress affects the body, as well as orthopedic problems.  St. Anthony’s Outpatient Center (Carillon), is located at 900 Carillon Parkway, St. Petersburg, FL.

How Stress Affects The Body

Wednesday, January 16

5:30 p.m.

Rachael Elizabeth Fountain, LMT, C-PT, will discuss lifestyle choices to improve the effects of chronic stress, how using your body daily affects the structure of your body over time and teach specific movements that will make your body healthier.

My Aching Knee!

Monday, January 21

Free knee screening by appointment only: (727) 953-6993

11-11:45 a.m. and 1-1:50 p.m.

Orthopedic surgeon, Sanjay Menon, MD, will speak about the latest treatment options available that can bring dramatic relief to knee pain. A complimentary screening knee X-ray will be offered and registration is required for a screening. A light lunch will be provided.

Join orthopedic surgeon, Douglas Carlan, MD, to learn more about Dupuytren’s disease, a condition in which a small, painless nodule develops in the connective tissue on the palm side of the hand and eventually develops into a cord-like band. Learn about symptoms, causes and treatment, including non-operative and minimally invasive surgical options. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
