St. Anthony's Hospital Recognizes the Month of Love With Heart Focused Health Seminars and Screenings

February is Heart Health Awareness Month

St. Petersburg, Fla. (January 17, 2013) – February is not just about showing love and affection with chocolates and valentines cards but also about recognizing the importance of good heart health. St. Anthony’s Hospital invites the community to attend the heart health seminars, the heart healthy fair with free screenings, and to take the free online heart risk assessment to learn more about their risk for heart disease: www.yourhealthrisk.org/heart

“Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women,” says David Kohl, MD, St. Anthony’s cardiologist. “If you can find out earlier if you are at risk of developing heart disease and then take steps to reduce the risks, then you are on the right track for good heart health.”
