Health Insurance Enrollment Event at St. Anthony’s Hospital

BayCare Health System Navigators to Assist with One-on-One Enrollment

CLEARWATER, Fla. (Dec. 6, 2013) – An enrollment event for those interested in signing up for the Health Insurance Marketplace will be held Tues., Dec. 17, 2013 from 1 to 7 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Hospital, 1200 Seventh Ave., North, St. Petersburg in the main lobby.

Health Insurance Navigators from BayCare Health System will be on site to assist the public in shopping for and enrolling in Health Insurance Marketplace plans. The navigators will be able to provide general information and individual assistance in both English and Spanish.

To sign up for individual assistance sessions, contact (855) 404-3334. Please be sure to request an appointment for the enrollment event.

As the resource in BayCare for enrollment through the marketplace, Navigators are trained to provide unbiased information in a culturally competent manner to consumers about health insurance, the new Health Insurance Marketplace, qualified health plans, and public programs including Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

Navigators are funded through a federal grant awarded to the University of South Florida (USF) to help consumers shop for and enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace. Announced earlier this year, BayCare received funding through the grant which runs through USF’s Florida Covering Kids and Families (FL-CKF). The Navigators are part of BayCare’s financial assistance team.
